Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) stands inside Grand Teton National Park, north of Jackson, and has one terminal. All flights are domestic, so there is no immigration or customs here; travelers from abroad clear them at their first US airport.
There are no jet bridges, so you leave the aircraft by stairs or ramp and walk across to the terminal, a short walk in the cold during winter. Baggage claim, with three carousels and the Information Desk, is at the south end of the terminal, and pre-booked drivers meet passengers there.
Jackson Hole is on Mountain Time (UTC-7), and UTC-6 from March to November.
Entry requirements and local notes
Visitors from abroad. International visitors need a US visa or an approved ESTA and clear immigration and customs at their first US airport before connecting to Jackson Hole.
Winter roads. Snow and ice are common from November to April, and Teton Pass and park roads can close or slow in storms; give your full address so the driver can plan the route.
Overnight closure. The terminal closes from 11:00 pm to 4:00 am, and waiting overnight in the terminal or a vehicle is not allowed inside the national park.
Bear spray. Bear spray cannot go in checked or carry-on bags; rent it at the kiosk by carousel 3 in summer and return it before you fly.
