Menorca Airport (MAH), also called Mahón or Maó airport, stands inland just southwest of Mahón, near Sant Climent, and Aena runs it. All flights use one terminal: arrivals and baggage claim are on Floor 0, check-in on Floor 1 and the departure gates on Floor 2.
Flights from Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. If you come from outside the Schengen area, as many summer passengers do from the UK, you wait in line at passport control. On summer weekends, when many flights land together, passport control and baggage claim can be slow. After baggage claim you walk into the arrivals hall on Floor 0, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Spain is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to UTC+2 for daylight saving time from late March to late October.
Schengen entry. Spain is in the Schengen area. Arrivals from outside it, including the UK, go through passport control. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Official taxi stand. Aena advises taking taxis only from the signed stand outside arrivals, not from drivers offering rides inside the terminal, so check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
Villa and cove addresses. Many country houses and villas on Menorca have no street number, and some coves are reached by narrow lanes, so give the villa name, the nearest town and a map pin when you book.
Two names for every town. Signs use Catalan names alongside Spanish ones, so Mahón is Maó, Ciutadella is Ciudadela and Es Castell is Villacarlos; any form works in the booking form.

The airport is about 4.5 km (2.8 miles) southwest of Mahón, so the ride into town is short. Ciutadella is at the other end of the island, about 45 km (28 miles) away on the Me-1 road.
