Mykonos Airport (JMK), officially Mykonos-Manto Mavrogenous Airport, is close to Mykonos Town (Chora) on the island of Mykonos in the Cyclades. All flights use a single terminal building, and Fraport Greece runs the airport.
Flights from Athens and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. Passengers from outside the Schengen area, for example from the UK or the Middle East, queue at passport control. In peak summer the small terminal can be very crowded. Once you have your bags, head outside, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Most international routes run only in summer; outside the season the airport has limited connections and shorter opening times. Greece is on Eastern European Time (UTC+2) and switches to UTC+3 for daylight saving time from late March to late October.
Entry requirements and local notes
Schengen entry. Greece is in the Schengen area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Pedestrian town center. Mykonos Town's old streets are largely pedestrian, so cars stop at the edge of town and you walk the last stretch to many hotels.
Two ports. Boats to Delos leave from the old port in Mykonos Town, and most ferries use the new port at Tourlos, north of town. Tell us which port and your sailing time when you book.
Off-season flights. Outside summer the airport has limited flights and shorter opening times, so check your flight times before you book a ride.
