Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is in Mississauga, north-west of downtown Toronto. It has two passenger terminals: Terminal 1, for Air Canada and most Star Alliance airlines, and Terminal 3, for WestJet, Porter, Air Transat and many other carriers. The free Terminal Link train connects them, so check which one your flight uses before you land.
If you arrive from outside Canada, you clear Canadian border services first: many travelers complete their declaration at the primary inspection kiosks or with Advance Declaration in the ArriveCAN app, then speak to a border officer. After baggage claim, you exit through the customs hall into the arrivals level of your terminal, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Toronto is on Eastern Time and changes its clocks for daylight saving.
Requisitos de entrada y notas locales
eTA or visa. Most visitors from visa-exempt countries need an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before flying to Canada; US citizens do not. Travelers from other countries may need a visa, so check the Government of Canada's requirements for your passport before you book.
Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. The two terminals are a train ride apart, so give us the terminal your airline uses when you book. Air Canada arrives at Terminal 1; WestJet, Porter and Air Transat at Terminal 3.
Winter weather. Toronto winters are cold and snowy. Keep a warm layer in your carry-on for the walk from the terminal to your vehicle.
US preclearance on the way home. Flights to the United States clear US immigration and customs at Pearson before boarding, so allow for it when you book your ride back to the airport.
