Turin Airport (TRN), also known as Torino Airport or Turin-Caselle, is in Caselle Torinese, north of Turin, and SAGAT runs it. All flights use one passenger terminal, with arrivals on the ground level and departures above, and signs use the Italian name Torino.
Flights from Italy and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks; from outside the Schengen area, including the UK, you line up at passport control. After baggage claim you walk through customs into the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Italy is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to UTC+2 for daylight saving time from late March to late October. It uses the euro.
Schengen entry. Italy is in the Schengen area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Turin or Torino. Your ticket, the airport signs and train timetables may show Torino, the Italian name for Turin; the airport code is TRN.
Restricted traffic zone. Much of central Turin is a ZTL, a limited traffic zone, and some streets are pedestrian, so give your full address; your driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach.
Winter mountain roads. From 15 November to 15 April, many roads into the Alps require winter tires or snow chains on board, and heavy snow can slow the climb to the ski resorts.
