Valencia Airport (VLC), also known as Manises Airport, is in Manises, west of Valencia, and Aena runs it. All flights use one terminal, built in stages and joined inside, with a single security area; gates 1 to 4 handle non-Schengen flights, and the regional hall at gates 12 to 22 has the Metrovalencia station on its ground floor.
Flights from Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks; from outside the Schengen area, including the UK, you queue at passport control. After baggage claim you walk through customs into the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers.
Spain is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to UTC+2 for daylight saving time from late March to late October. It uses the euro.
