Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) is the airport serving Kolkata and the wider Kolkata metropolitan region in West Bengal, India. IndiGo, Air India Express and Alliance Air have bases here, and IndiGo, Air India, Akasa Air and SpiceJet connect Kolkata with Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Bagdogra for Siliguri and Darjeeling, Port Blair and many other cities. International flights link Kolkata with Dhaka, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu, Paro, Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi.
Passengers use one integrated building, Terminal 2, opened in 2013, with a domestic wing and an international wing. Arrivals from both wings come out on the ground level.
The airport stands in Dum Dum, in the north of the city, about 16 km from Dalhousie Square (BBD Bagh) and Howrah Station. Jai Hind metro station on the Yellow Line opened at the airport in August 2025, and VIP Road and Jessore Road lead into the city. By road, Salt Lake Sector V and New Town (Rajarhat) are closer than central Kolkata, where most travelers head for Park Street, Esplanade and Ballygunge.
From the airport, travelers also continue to Howrah Station for trains across eastern India, and further afield to the Sundarbans, Shantiniketan and the beach town of Digha.
