Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU) stands in Dum Dum, in the north of Kolkata, and is still often called Dum Dum Airport. All passenger flights use one building, the integrated Terminal 2, with a domestic wing and an international wing.
On an international flight, follow the Arrivals signs to immigration, then collect your bags and pass through customs, using the green channel if you have nothing to declare. Domestic passengers go straight to baggage claim. Both wings exit into the arrivals area on the ground level, where currency exchange counters and ATMs are available.
Kolkata is on India Standard Time (UTC+5:30) all year, with no daylight saving time.
Visa or e-Visa. Most foreign visitors need an Indian visa. Citizens of many countries can apply online for an e-Visa at least four days before arrival, and Kolkata is one of the airports where e-Visa holders can enter. Your passport should be valid for at least six months and have two blank pages.
e-Arrival card. Foreign nationals and OCI cardholders must submit the e-Arrival card online within 72 hours before landing, through the Indian Visa Su-Swagatam app or the official Indian visa website. It is not a visa.
Customs. Use the red channel if you carry goods above the duty-free allowance or currency that must be declared.
Indian rupee. India uses the Indian rupee (INR); exchange counters and ATMs are in the terminal.
Terminal entry. Only passengers with a ticket and photo ID can enter the terminal building, so people seeing you off stay outside.

Domestic and international passengers come out of the same building, so give your flight number when you book; it tells your driver whether you are coming out of the domestic or the international side.
The airport is in Dum Dum, about 16 km from Dalhousie Square (BBD Bagh) and about 17 km from Park Street and Esplanade. The drive usually takes 40 to 60 minutes and can be longer at weekday rush hours. Salt Lake Sector V is about 10 km away and New Town (Rajarhat) about 14 km, usually 25 to 45 minutes.

Yes. We drive to offices, hotels and apartments in Salt Lake (Bidhannagar), Sector V and New Town (Rajarhat), on the airport side of the city. Give the full address, the tower or block and any gate details when you book, so your driver can reach you without delay inside large housing or office complexes.
Yes. We take you to Howrah Station across the Howrah Bridge, or to Sealdah Station, if you are continuing by train. Give us your train time when you book. The ride crosses central Kolkata, so allow generous time between your landing and your train.
Longer trips outside Kolkata, such as to the beach town of Digha, Shantiniketan or the Sundarbans gateway towns, depend on availability.
