Main terminal
The only passenger terminal, a single-story building with two gates, used by every airline.
Also known as: Ciudad del Carmen Airport, Carmen Airport, CME Airport.
CME · MMCE · Ciudad del Carmen

Ciudad del Carmen International Airport (CME) serves Ciudad del Carmen, on Carmen Island in the state of Campeche, Mexico. It sits about 4 km from the city center and is run by Grupo Aeroportuario Marina, the Mexican Navy's airport group.
Mexico City is by far the main route, flown by Aeroméxico. Aerus adds small regional flights to Minatitlán/Coatzacoalcos and Veracruz. Much of the airport's activity comes from the offshore oil industry: a separate heliport serves Pemex flights to the platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.
The airport has one single-story terminal with check-in, security, immigration and customs, baggage claim and an arrivals hall with car rental, taxi stands and shops. The departure concourse has two gates, and passengers walk across the apron to the aircraft. The airport officially operates from 7:00 to 19:00.
From the airport, travelers head into the city, its seafront malecón and the Laguna de Términos.

Ciudad del Carmen has one single-story terminal, and you walk across the apron from the aircraft to the building.
Scheduled flights here are domestic, so most passengers go straight to baggage claim. If you arrive on a charter or private flight from abroad, immigration and customs are in the same terminal.
After collecting your bags, walk into the arrivals hall, where you will find the car rental counters, the taxi stands and a few shops. The airport is about 4 km from the city center, so the ride into town is short. If you booked a transfer, your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall or just outside the terminal doors.
The airport operates from 7:00 to 19:00, so all flights arrive during the day.
A pre-booked driver meets you in the arrivals hall and takes you to your hotel or office in Ciudad del Carmen. It suits business travelers on a schedule.
Taxis wait at the stands in the arrivals hall. Confirm the destination before you set off.
Rental counters are in the arrivals hall.

Request wheelchair or mobility assistance through your airline when you book, and confirm it at least 48 hours before you fly.
Passengers walk across the apron and board by stairs, so tell your airline in advance if you need help getting on or off the aircraft.
Rules for service and emotional support animals are set by each airline, so check with yours before you travel and carry the required documents.
Airline staff meet passengers who requested assistance at the aircraft and accompany them to baggage claim and the arrivals hall.
Parking is available at the terminal for drop-offs, pickups and longer stays.
Ciudad del Carmen International Airport is about 4 km from the city center, so the ride into town is short. Travelers use a pre-booked transfer, a taxi from the stands in the arrivals hall or a rental car.
Aeroméxico flies to Mexico City, the airport's main route by far. Aerus, a small regional airline, flies to Minatitlán/Coatzacoalcos and Veracruz. Travelers from other cities usually connect in Mexico City.
Ciudad del Carmen International Airport officially operates from 7:00 to 19:00 local time, Central Standard Time. Flights are scheduled within those hours, so there are no night arrivals or departures.
Ciudad del Carmen is a base for Mexico's offshore oil industry. A separate heliport at the airport serves Pemex flights to platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, and it is one of the busiest heliports in the country. Airline passengers use the main terminal, not the heliport.
Ciudad del Carmen airport uses Central Standard Time (UTC−6) all year, the same as Mexico City. Mexico no longer observes daylight saving time in this region, so flight times on your ticket are in Central Standard Time throughout the year.
