Southwest uses FLL as its main South Florida airport, JetBlue has a focus city and base here, and Allegiant has an operating base. Delta, United, American, Alaska, Frontier, Air Canada and many Caribbean and Latin American airlines also fly here, with routes across the United States and to Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America.
The airport has four terminals, numbered 1 to 4. Terminal 4 handles most international flights, and a fifth terminal is under construction for completion around 2030. Shuttles link the terminals, and the Rental Car Center is reached directly from Terminal 1.
From the airport, travelers head to Fort Lauderdale's beaches, Port Everglades for cruises, Hollywood, Boca Raton and Miami. Shuttles connect with the Tri-Rail and Brightline stations for trains along the coast.
