Hermanos Serdán International Airport, known as Puebla International Airport (PBC), serves the city of Puebla and its metropolitan area in central Mexico. It sits in the municipality of Huejotzingo, northwest of the city.
Volaris made Puebla a hub in 2026 and runs most flights, to Cancún, Tijuana, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Huatulco, Aguascalientes, Tuxtla Gutiérrez and Villahermosa, and to Los Angeles, Houston and Newark in the United States. Viva Aerobus flies to Cancún, Guadalajara, Mérida, Monterrey and Tijuana, and United Airlines flies to Houston. Cancún, Tijuana and Monterrey are the busiest routes.
The airport has a single-story terminal for domestic and international flights, with a departures concourse of five gates and a lounge. Passenger numbers passed one million for the first time in 2024.
From the airport, travelers head to Puebla's historic center, to Cholula and its Great Pyramid, and to Atlixco and the towns around the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes.

Puebla has one single-story terminal, so every flight arrives in the same building.
If you arrive on an international flight, such as from Houston, Los Angeles or Newark, you clear immigration first. Have your passport and your flight details ready; visitors from many countries do not need a visa, but check the rules for your passport before you travel. After immigration, collect your bags at baggage claim and pass through customs.
Domestic passengers go straight to baggage claim and then out to the arrivals area.
Plan your ride into the city before you land: a pre-booked transfer, a taxi or a rental car. If you booked a transfer, your driver waits for you as you leave the arrivals area. Puebla sits at about 2,200 m, so if you are coming from the coast, take it easy on your first day.
A pre-booked driver meets you at arrivals and takes you to Puebla's historic center, Cholula or Atlixco. It suits families and anyone with luggage.
Taxis serve the terminal. Confirm the destination before you set off.
Useful if you plan to tour Cholula, Atlixco and the towns around the volcanoes.
