The single terminal for all domestic and international flights, with 25 check-in desks, nine boarding gates and four baggage belts.
Also known as: Murcia Airport, Corvera Airport, Murcia Corvera Airport, RMU Airport.

Región de Murcia International Airport (RMU), often called Murcia-Corvera Airport, is the commercial airport for Murcia and the Región de Murcia in southeast Spain. It stands near Corvera, within the municipality of Murcia, about 25 km (16 miles) from Murcia city and 35 km (22 miles) from Cartagena, with direct access to the A-30 motorway between the two.
Most flights link the region with the UK and Ireland: Ryanair and easyJet fly to London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Dublin, among other cities. Volotea serves Barcelona, Marseille and seasonal routes in Spain, France and Italy, Binter Canarias flies to the Canary Islands, Smartwings to Prague and Brno, and Air Arabia to Nador in Morocco. The airport handled about 947,000 passengers in 2025.
All flights use a single terminal with nine boarding gates and four baggage belts.
From the airport, travelers head to Murcia city and Cartagena, to the Mar Menor resorts of Los Alcázares, San Javier and La Manga, to golf resorts such as Condado de Alhama and La Manga Club, and along the coast to Mazarrón, Águilas and Torrevieja.

Most flights to Murcia come from the UK, which is outside the Schengen area, so expect to queue at passport control, where non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System. Flights from Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks.
There is one terminal, with four baggage belts, so finding your bags is simple. After baggage claim you walk through customs into the arrivals hall.
Outside, the bus stops and the taxi rank are by the car park in front of the terminal. Interbus runs buses to San Andrés bus station in Murcia and to Cartagena bus station, and Airportbus runs lines along the coast to the Mar Menor, La Manga, Torrevieja, Mazarrón and Águilas; check timetables before you fly, because services are fewer than at big airports. Car hire desks are in the terminal, and pre-booked drivers usually meet you in the arrivals hall.
Spain is on Central European Time and uses the euro.
Buses are few, so most travelers heading to the coast or the golf resorts use a taxi, a hire car or a pre-booked transfer.
Buses run from the stop by the car park to San Andrés bus station in Murcia city. Check the timetable before you fly.
Buses run from the stop by the car park to Cartagena bus station.
Airportbus lines serve the Mar Menor, La Manga and Cabo de Palos, Torrevieja and the Orihuela Costa, and Mazarrón and Águilas, with stops at many towns and resorts along the way.
Taxis wait at the rank by the terminal and go door to door to Murcia, Cartagena and the coast.
A pre-booked car meets you in the arrivals hall, useful for families, golf groups and villas away from the bus routes.

No. Región de Murcia International Airport at Corvera opened on 15 January 2019 and replaced Murcia–San Javier Airport (MJV), which closed to civil flights. Every commercial flight to Murcia now lands at Corvera (RMU), so a ticket showing Murcia means this airport, not San Javier on the Mar Menor.
Región de Murcia International Airport is about 25 km (16 miles) from Murcia city and about 35 km (22 miles) from Cartagena. It sits beside the A-30 motorway, which links the two cities, near the village of Corvera within the municipality of Murcia.
Yes. Interbus runs buses from the airport to San Andrés bus station in Murcia city. The stop is by the car park in front of the terminal. Services are limited, so check the Interbus timetable before you fly, especially if you land late in the evening.
Interbus runs buses from the airport to Cartagena bus station, and the Airportbus La Manga line also stops in Cartagena. By road, Cartagena is about 35 km away along the A-30 motorway, and taxis and pre-booked cars go door to door.
Airportbus runs a line to La Manga, Cabo de Palos, Mar de Cristal and Los Belones, and another through San Pedro del Pinatar, San Javier and Los Alcázares on the way to Torrevieja. Taxis and pre-booked cars go door to door, which is easier with luggage or golf bags.
Yes. Airportbus runs a line from the airport to Torrevieja, calling at resorts such as Los Alcázares, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Campoamor, La Zenia and Cabo Roig. Taxis and pre-booked cars also go door to door to Torrevieja and the Orihuela Costa.
Ryanair and easyJet fly most routes, mainly to the UK and Ireland, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Dublin. Volotea serves Barcelona and Marseille, Binter Canarias flies to Gran Canaria and Tenerife, Smartwings to Prague and Brno, and Air Arabia to Nador in Morocco.
Región de Murcia International Airport has one terminal for all flights, with 25 check-in desks, nine boarding gates and four baggage belts. Because there is only one building, arriving passengers all exit into the same arrivals hall, where bus stops, taxis and car hire are close by.
No. Alicante–Elche Airport (ALC) is a separate, larger airport in the province of Alicante, to the northeast. Many visitors to the Murcia region fly into either one, so check the airport code on your ticket: RMU for Murcia-Corvera or ALC for Alicante.
Spain is in the Schengen area, so flights from the UK and other non-Schengen countries go through passport control at Murcia. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation.
Aena runs one general car park in front of the terminal. You can drive in without a booking and pay at a pay station or in the Aena app, or book ahead through Aena Parking, which links your booking to your number plate at the barrier.
