Milas–Bodrum Airport (BJV) stands near Milas, northeast of Bodrum, and TAV Airports runs it. It has two terminal buildings a short walk apart: the International Terminal, used by most summer flights from the UK and Europe, and the Domestic Terminal, for flights from Istanbul, Ankara and other Turkish cities.
On an international flight you go through passport control, then baggage claim and customs before reaching the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers at the exit. Domestic arrivals skip passport control. On busy summer days, when several charter flights land close together, passport control and baggage delivery can be slow.
Turkey is on Turkey Time (UTC+3) all year, with no daylight saving time, and uses the Turkish lira.
Entry requirements and local notes
Visa or e-Visa. US, UK, Canadian and Australian ordinary passport holders can visit Turkey visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Other nationalities may need an e-Visa from the official evisa.gov.tr site, so check the rules for your passport before you fly.
Passport validity. Your passport generally needs to be valid for at least 60 days beyond the end of your permitted stay.
Two terminals. The International and Domestic Terminals are separate buildings, so give your airline and arrival terminal when you book; your driver waits at that terminal's arrivals exit.
Villa addresses. Many villas sit on hillsides reached by narrow lanes with no street numbers, so send the villa name, the full address and a map pin when you book.
