International Terminal
Handles international scheduled and charter flights, with passport control on arrival and departure. Most summer flights from the UK and Europe use it.
Also known as: Bodrum Airport, BJV Airport, Bodrum Milas Airport, Milas Airport.
BJV · LTFE · Bodrum
Milas–Bodrum Airport (BJV) is the airport for Bodrum and the Bodrum Peninsula on Turkey's Aegean coast, in the province of Muğla. It stands near Milas, about 36 km (22 miles) northeast of Bodrum town and 16 km (10 miles) south of Milas, and handled about 4.36 million passengers in 2025.
Domestic flights link Bodrum with Istanbul and Ankara all year, flown by Turkish Airlines, Pegasus and AJet. In summer, international traffic grows with seasonal and charter flights from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Poland and the Gulf, including Jet2.com, easyJet, SunExpress, Corendon and British Airways.
The airport has two terminal buildings: an International Terminal and a Domestic Terminal, a short walk apart. TAV Airports runs both under a concession.
From the airport, most travelers head along the D330 highway to Bodrum town and its marina, then on to the resort areas of Gümbet, Bitez, Turgutreis, Yalıkavak, Gündoğan, Türkbükü and Torba. The drive to Bodrum town usually takes 35 to 45 minutes, and longer to the far side of the peninsula.

If you arrive on an international flight, you land at the International Terminal and go through passport control first. Most US, UK, Canadian and Australian travelers can visit Turkey visa-free for short stays; other nationalities may need an e-Visa before they fly. Flights from elsewhere in Turkey arrive at the Domestic Terminal, with no passport check.
After passport control, collect your luggage at baggage claim and walk through customs into the arrivals hall. In peak summer weeks, several charter flights often land close together, so passport control and baggage claim can be slow; keep your hotel or villa address and your transfer confirmation handy.
Outside the arrivals hall you find the taxi stand, the Havaş and Muttaş shuttle buses to Bodrum and the car rental desks. Pre-booked drivers usually wait at the arrivals exit of your terminal with a name sign.
Turkey uses the Turkish lira and is on Turkey Time (UTC+3) all year, with no daylight saving time.
The shuttle buses are the budget option to Bodrum town; a taxi or pre-booked car is easier with luggage or for the resort areas around the peninsula.
Havaş buses leave from outside the terminals, timed to flight arrivals, and run to Bodrum's bus station with stops at Güvercinlik and Torba, in about 45 minutes. You change to a local minibus or taxi for most resort areas.
The Muğla municipal company Muttaş runs white shuttle buses on a similar route to Bodrum via Güvercinlik and Torba. Pay on board; there are no seat reservations.
Taxis wait outside both terminals around the clock and go door to door anywhere on the peninsula. Fares are metered and add up on the longer runs to Turgutreis or Yalıkavak.
Avis, Hertz, Sixt and other companies have desks in the arrivals halls. A car suits villa stays, but summer traffic and parking in Bodrum town can be slow.
A pre-booked car or van meets you at the arrivals exit and drives straight to your hotel or villa, useful for families, groups and late arrivals.

Milas–Bodrum Airport is about 36 km (22 miles) northeast of Bodrum town, along the D330 highway. The drive usually takes 35 to 45 minutes, longer in peak summer traffic. Resort areas on the far side of the peninsula, such as Turgutreis and Yalıkavak, take about an hour or more.
Yes. The official name is Milas–Bodrum Airport, code BJV, because it stands in the district of Milas, about 16 km south of Milas town. Travelers call it Bodrum Airport, Milas Airport or Bodrum Milas Airport. It is the only airport serving the Bodrum Peninsula.
Bodrum airport has two terminals: the International Terminal for flights from abroad and the Domestic Terminal for flights within Turkey. They are separate buildings about a five-minute walk apart. Check your booking, because Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, AJet and SunExpress fly from both, depending on the route.
Turkish Airlines, Pegasus and AJet fly to Bodrum from Istanbul and Ankara all year. In summer, Jet2.com, easyJet, Ryanair and British Airways fly from the UK and Ireland, SunExpress, Corendon and Discover Airlines from Germany, TUI fly from Belgium and the Netherlands, and Qatar Airways and flydubai from the Gulf, among others.
Yes. Havaş and Muttaş shuttle buses leave from outside the terminals and run to Bodrum's bus station, stopping at Güvercinlik and Torba, in about 45 minutes. Havaş times its buses to flight arrivals. For most resort areas you change to a local minibus or taxi in Bodrum.
Yes. Taxis wait outside both the International and Domestic Terminals around the clock. A taxi goes door to door to Bodrum town, the marina and the resort areas around the peninsula. Fares are metered, so the longer runs to Turgutreis, Yalıkavak or Türkbükü cost noticeably more than the trip to town.
It depends on your passport. US, UK, Canadian and Australian ordinary passport holders can visit Turkey visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Other nationalities may need an e-Visa from the official evisa.gov.tr site before flying. Your passport generally needs at least 60 days of validity beyond your stay.
International arrivals go through passport control at the International Terminal, then collect bags at baggage claim and pass customs into the arrivals hall. Domestic arrivals skip passport control. On busy summer days, when several charter flights land together, passport control and baggage delivery can take a while, so plan some extra time.
Yes. Avis, Hertz, Sixt, Budget, Enterprise and local agencies have desks in the arrivals halls. A car is handy for villa stays and exploring the peninsula's bays, but roads into Bodrum town and the marina can be busy in July and August, and parking in town is limited.
Yes. Each terminal has a Primeclass Lounge airside, open from 07:00 to 23:00. The International Terminal lounge, on the mezzanine level after passport control, closes in winter. Priority Pass members and other eligible passengers can use them, with a maximum stay of three hours.
Yes. Ferries to the Greek island of Kos leave from Bodrum's port in town. Take a taxi, shuttle bus or pre-booked car from the airport to the port, and remember that crossing to Greece means passport control at the port, so allow time before your sailing.
Turkey uses the Turkish lira. ATMs and currency exchange offices are on the international arrivals floor, so you can get lira before leaving the terminal. Cards are widely accepted in Bodrum's hotels, restaurants and shops, but some cash is useful for shuttle buses, small cafés and tips.
Bodrum is on Turkey Time, UTC+3, all year round. Turkey does not use daylight saving time, so in summer it is the same time as Greece and two hours ahead of the UK, and in winter it is one hour ahead of Greece and three hours ahead of the UK.
