Airport Transfers
Private airport transportation from Cairo Airport (CAI) to hotels and homes in downtown Cairo, Zamalek, Giza and the Pyramids, Heliopolis and New Cairo, booked before you land.
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Cairo International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Our airport transportation in Cairo takes you from Cairo International Airport to hotels along the Nile in downtown Cairo, Garden City and Zamalek, to Giza for the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, and east to Heliopolis and New Cairo.
Cairo airport transfers start at the arrivals exit of the terminal where your flight lands, Terminal 3 for EgyptAir and its Star Alliance partners or Terminal 1 or 2 for many other airlines, and your driver waits there with a name sign. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and the fixed price for your vehicle is agreed before you fly, from a sedan for two to a van for a family or group with luggage.
Each Cairo airport transfer goes door to door to your hotel, apartment or Nile cruise boat in the city, to hotels near the Pyramids in Giza, or to offices in Heliopolis and New Cairo. Going on to the New Administrative Capital or Alexandria? Enter the address in the booking form to see whether a transfer is offered.
Our Cairo airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not a shared bus that stops at other hotels across the city. It leaves as soon as you are through arrivals, with room for suitcases, and suits families, groups and travelers heading straight to Giza after a long flight.

Cairo International Airport (CAI) is the main airport for Cairo and the busiest in Egypt, in Heliopolis northeast of the city. It has three passenger terminals: Terminal 3, EgyptAir's hub, is joined to Terminal 2 by a bridge, while Terminal 1, used by many private, low-cost and charter airlines, is a separate building linked by a people mover and free buses.
If you don't have an e-visa, buy your visa on arrival at the bank counters before passport control, then join the immigration line, which can be long when several flights land together. After baggage claim you pass customs into the arrivals hall, where banks, currency exchange and SIM card kiosks are close to the exit.
Egypt is on Eastern European Time (UTC+2) and switches to UTC+3 for daylight saving time from late April to late October. It uses the Egyptian pound.
Egypt visa. Most visitors need a visa: apply for an e-visa at visa2egypt.gov.eg before you fly, or buy a single-entry visa on arrival at the bank counters before passport control, paid in US dollars cash. Your passport should be valid for six months after arrival.
Which terminal. Terminal 1 is a separate building from Terminals 2 and 3, so give your airline and arrival terminal when you book; your driver waits at that terminal's arrivals exit.
Cairo or Sphinx. This page is for Cairo International Airport (CAI) in Heliopolis, not Sphinx International Airport (SPX) west of Giza, so check the code on your ticket.
Cash and pounds. Egypt uses the Egyptian pound. Cards work in hotels and larger shops, but carry some small notes for tips and small purchases.
