Cozumel International Airport (CZM) stands just north of San Miguel de Cozumel, on the island's west coast, and ASUR runs it. All flights use one terminal, with six international gates, two domestic gates and a single arrivals hall.
On an international flight you clear immigration first, then collect your bags from the small baggage claim and pass customs, where you press a button: green lets you walk out, red means a short bag inspection. The ground transportation and car rental desks are in the arrivals hall, and pre-booked drivers wait outside the exit.
Cozumel is on Eastern Standard Time (UTC−5) all year, with no daylight saving time.
Requisitos de entrada y notas locales
Check your ticket. Many visitors fly into Cancún (CUN) instead and cross to Cozumel by ferry from Playa del Carmen. This page is for flights into Cozumel airport; for flights into Cancún, see Cancún airport transportation.
Mexico entry permit. Bring a valid passport. Immigration records your stay with the FMM tourist permit, whose fee is normally included in your airfare; keep the stamp or receipt until you leave Mexico.
VISITAX. Quintana Roo charges foreign visitors a state tourist fee, VISITAX, payable online at visitax.gob.mx before you leave the state.
No Uber on the island. Ride-hailing apps such as Uber do not operate on Cozumel, so arrange your ride from the airport before you land.
