Private airport transportation from Liberia Airport (LIR) in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, to the Papagayo resorts, Playas del Coco, Tamarindo, Playa Flamingo and Nosara.
Pre-booked private transportation takes you directly from Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport to your hotel, resort or vacation rental.
After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.
Airport transportation in Liberia covers the Guanacaste coast: the Gulf of Papagayo resorts, Playas del Coco, Playa Flamingo, Tamarindo and Nosara, as well as hotels in Liberia town and lodges near Rincón de la Vieja National Park.
Your Liberia airport transfer starts just outside the terminal doors after customs, where your driver waits with a sign showing your name, in company uniform and carrying official credentials. We track your flight, and the price is fixed per vehicle before you fly.
Choose anything from a sedan for two to a van for a family or group, and ride door to door to your resort, beach hotel, villa or vacation rental. Liberia airport transfers run both ways, so your ride back to LIR can go on the same booking.
Our Liberia airport shuttle is a private van for your party only: it leaves as soon as you are through customs instead of waiting to fill seats, and it makes no stops at other hotels. There is room for suitcases plus surfboards, golf bags or fishing gear when you tell us at booking, which suits surf trips to Tamarindo and Nosara, families heading to the Papagayo resorts and groups sharing a villa.

Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) sits about 11 km (7 miles) west-southwest of downtown Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste province in northwestern Costa Rica. Since 2021 it has also been branded Guanacaste Airport, and most travelers call it Liberia Airport.
Everything happens in one terminal, opened in 2012, which handles both international and domestic flights. After leaving the plane you clear Costa Rican immigration, collect your bags in the baggage claim right after passport control, then pass customs; a duty-free shop sits on the arrivals side before the exit. Outside the doors, authorized operators in company uniforms wait with name signs.
Costa Rica runs on Central Standard Time (UTC-6) all year, with no daylight saving time.
Passport and onward ticket. You need a valid passport, and immigration officers may ask for a return or onward ticket and, in some cases, proof of funds. Visa rules depend on your nationality, so check them for your passport before you fly.
No online entry form. Costa Rica's official tourism site lists no separate online entry form for visitors arriving at Liberia.
Authorized transport only. The airport asks travelers to use only operators showing official credentials, uniforms and registered vehicles, so turn down anyone offering rides inside the terminal.
Colones and dollars. The currency is the Costa Rican colón, and US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas. ATMs at the airport are generally a better choice than the currency exchange.
