Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR), commonly referred to as Guanacaste Airport, is located in Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste province in northwestern Costa Rica. It’s the second busiest international airport in the country and serves as a vital entry point to Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast, volcanoes, beach resorts, and national parks.
The airport is modern, efficient, and traveler-friendly. It features a recently expanded terminal, clean facilities, a variety of shops, restaurants, and car rental desks, and it's known for its manageable size and laid-back atmosphere compared to the capital’s Juan Santamaría Airport.
