Luxembourg Airport (LUX) is at Findel, on the eastern edge of Luxembourg City, and is the base of the national airline Luxair and the cargo airline Cargolux. It has two linked terminals: Terminal A, the main building with check-in, the arrivals hall and most gates, and Terminal B, a smaller gate building for Schengen flights on smaller aircraft, reached by a covered footbridge.
Flights from other Schengen countries arrive without passport control; from outside Schengen you pass passport control first. All arriving passengers collect their bags and exit into the arrivals hall in Terminal A, where the car rental desks are.
Luxembourg is on Central European Time (UTC+1) and switches to summer time (UTC+2) from late March to late October.
Schengen entry. Luxembourg is in the Schengen Area. Non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), fully operational since 10 April 2026; the planned ETIAS travel authorization is not yet in operation. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Three official languages. Luxembourgish, French and German are all official languages of the country, so give us your address exactly as it appears on your hotel booking.
Euro. Luxembourg uses the euro, the same currency as neighboring Belgium, France and Germany.
Changeable weather. The weather in Luxembourg is changeable, so keep a layer for rain in your hand luggage in any season.
