Mexico City International Airport (Benito Juárez, known locally as AICM) sits 5 km east of the historic center, at 2,230 m above sea level. It has two terminals about 3 km apart on opposite sides of the airfield: Terminal 1 for Volaris, Viva Aerobus and most foreign airlines, and Terminal 2 for Aeroméxico, Delta and Copa.
Arrivals are on the ground floor of both terminals. International passengers clear immigration, collect their bags and pass customs before reaching the public arrivals hall; queues at immigration grow when several long-haul flights land together.
Mexico City runs on Central Standard Time (UTC−6) all year.
Check your terminal. Your driver waits at the terminal on your booking. If your airline lands at the other one, tell us before you fly: the terminals are 3 km apart.
Make sure you land at MEX. Felipe Ángeles (NLU) and Toluca (TLC) also serve the capital. These transfers start at Benito Juárez (MEX), so check the code on your ticket.
Ride offers inside the terminal. Turn down anyone who approaches you offering a ride in the arrivals hall and wait for the driver named in your confirmation.
Entry. International visitors need a valid passport. Carry some pesos for tips and small purchases.
