After immigration, baggage claim and customs, continue outside the terminal to the meeting area named in your confirmation. Your vehicle is reserved only for the passengers on your reservation: unlike a shared shuttle, it makes no extra hotel stops for other travelers, and the price is per vehicle, not per person.

Our Puerto Plata airport transfers start outside the terminal: after immigration, baggage claim and customs, your driver waits with a name sign in the transportation area in front of the building. We track your flight, so the pickup follows your real landing time, and you go door to door to your all-inclusive, your condo in Sosúa or your beach house in Cabarete.

Our Puerto Plata airport shuttle is a private van for your party only, not the shared resort bus that stops at several hotels on the way. Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) sits on the Dominican Republic's north coast, on the coast road between Puerto Plata and Sosúa. It is a compact, single-terminal airport run by Aerodom, with every scheduled flight arriving at the same building.
After landing you follow the signs to immigration, where your passport and eTicket are checked, then collect your bags in the baggage hall, where free baggage carts are available, and pass through customs. From there you walk out to the transportation area in front of the terminal, where taxis, car rental counters and transfer drivers wait. A tourist help desk is at the entrance to the arrivals area.
The Dominican Republic runs on Atlantic Standard Time (UTC−4) all year, with no daylight saving.
eTicket. Everyone arriving on a commercial flight, children included, needs the Dominican Republic's free electronic entry and customs form, the eTicket, from the official portal eticket.migracion.gob.do. It generates a QR code that is checked when you travel; fill it in before you fly, and again for your departure.
Check your ticket. This page is for Puerto Plata (POP) on the north coast. Punta Cana (PUJ) is on the opposite side of the country; if your flight lands there, book Punta Cana airport transportation.
Unmetered taxis. Airport taxis are not metered, so if you take one, agree the fare before your luggage goes in the car, and ignore anyone offering rides inside the terminal.
Pesos and dollars. The local currency is the Dominican peso; U.S. dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas, and the terminal has currency exchange and ATMs.

Sosúa is the closest town, about 7 km from the airport, usually 10 to 15 minutes by car. Cabarete is about 20 km east along the coast road, around 25 to 30 minutes.
Playa Dorada's resorts and downtown Puerto Plata are about 18 km west of the airport, usually 20 to 30 minutes by car. Costambar and Cofresí are a little further, on the far side of the city.

There is no need. Booking ahead gives you a confirmed vehicle and a meeting point before you land. If someone approaches you, check the company name against your confirmation before getting in.
Yes. Everyone arriving by commercial flight, children included, needs the free eTicket from eticket.migracion.gob.do. Its QR code is checked when you travel, and you complete it again for your departure.
We monitor the flight on your reservation, so your driver waits for the actual landing. If your flight number, date or airline changes, or your flight is canceled, tell customer service so the pickup can be moved.
Yes. Book a one-way departure or a round trip from your resort, villa or cruise port, and give your flight number and departure time so the pickup is set for check-in and security.
