Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is in Savannah, Georgia, beside Interstate 95, and the Savannah Airport Commission runs it. Every airline uses one terminal: gates are on a single concourse past security, and a concourse expansion is under way.
All scheduled flights into Savannah are domestic, so there is no passport control or customs on arrival; travelers from abroad clear US immigration at their first US airport. You walk from the gate down to baggage claim on Level 1, where the car rental counters and the Visitor Information Center are, and pre-booked drivers meet passengers there.
Savannah and Hilton Head Island are on Eastern Time and follow US daylight saving time.
Domestic airport. SAV has no scheduled international flights, so visitors from abroad clear US immigration at their connecting airport, with an ESTA or visa as their nationality requires.

Gated communities. Many Hilton Head resorts and rentals are inside gated communities such as Sea Pines and Palmetto Dunes, so give the community, the street address and any gate pass details when you book.
St. Patrick's Day. Savannah's St. Patrick's Day celebrations around March 17 bring large crowds and street closures in the Historic District, so allow extra time that week.
