Passenger Terminal
The single terminal handles all scheduled and charter passenger flights, arrivals and departures, including every SkyAlps flight.
Also known as: Bozen Airport, Flughafen Bozen, BZO Airport, Bolzano Dolomiti Airport, Aeroporto di Bolzano.
BZO · LIPB · Bolzano
Bolzano Airport (BZO) is the airport of Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol in northern Italy, and the closest airport to the Dolomites valleys of Val Gardena and Alta Badia. It is known in German as Flughafen Bozen, and both names appear on signs.
Scheduled flights are operated by SkyAlps, which has its base here and flies Dash 8-400 turboprops. Year-round routes link Bolzano with Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Antwerp, and seasonal flights add London Gatwick, Copenhagen, Billund, Gothenburg, Warsaw and, from winter 2026/27, Paris and Prague, plus summer routes to Sardinia, Sicily, Puglia, the Balearics and the Greek islands.
Passengers use a single, compact terminal for check-in, arrivals and departures, with the parking area right in front of the building. The airport sits on the southern edge of the city, about 6 km from the center and about 3 km from the Bolzano Sud exit of the Brenner motorway (A22).
From the airport, travelers head into Bolzano, to Merano and its spa hotels, and up into the Dolomites: Val Gardena (Ortisei, Santa Cristina, Selva), the Alpe di Siusi, Alta Badia (Corvara, La Villa, San Cassiano) and the Kronplatz area.

Bolzano Airport has one small terminal, so the walk from the aircraft to the exit is short. Flights from other Schengen countries, such as Germany, Denmark, Belgium or Poland, arrive without passport control. If you fly in from London Gatwick or another airport outside the Schengen area, you go through passport control first; travelers from outside the EU are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System on their first crossing.
Collect your bags in the baggage claim area and walk through customs into the arrivals area. There are no taxis waiting on standby at the terminal, so call Radio Taxi Bolzano on +39 0471 981111 or arrange your ride before you land; many South Tyrol hotels and several tourist offices run their own airport shuttles. The car rental desks of Autosystem and Europcar keep office hours, so check them if you land in the evening or on a Sunday.

SASA line 111 stops a few meters from the terminal entrance, and lines 10A, 10B and 110 stop on Via Loris Musy, about 500 m away. Buses are a low-cost option but less convenient with ski bags.
Bolzano Sud - Fiera station is a few minutes by train from Bolzano's main station, then a short taxi ride from the airport. It works for light travelers heading along the rail lines toward Merano or the Brenner.
Autosystem and Europcar have desks at the airport. From the terminal it is about 3 km to the Bolzano Sud entrance of the A22 Brenner motorway.
