Toluca International Airport is about 30 km west of Santa Fe, Mexico City's business district, and less than 50 km from Mexico City International Airport. It is about 10 km northeast of Toluca's city center. There is no regular public transport, so travelers use transfers, taxis or rental cars.

Two airlines run scheduled passenger flights from Toluca. Volaris flies to Cancún, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos and Tijuana, and Viva Aerobus flies to Cancún, Mérida, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos. Monterrey is the busiest route, followed by Cancún.

No. Toluca currently has no scheduled international passenger flights; all airline routes are domestic. The terminal still has immigration and customs for private, executive and charter flights from abroad, and Toluca is the main airport for executive aviation in the Mexico City area.

Toluca airport has one passenger terminal in use, a single-story building with check-in, security, immigration and customs, baggage claim and car rental. Its departure concourse has 15 gates that open directly onto the apron. The airport once used more terminals, but operations have been consolidated into one.

There is no regular public transport, shuttle bus or train link from Toluca airport. Most travelers take a pre-booked transfer, a taxi from the stands at the terminal or a rental car to reach Toluca, Metepec or Mexico City.

Toluca airport uses Central Standard Time (UTC−6) all year, the same as Mexico City. Mexico no longer observes daylight saving time in this region, so flight times on your ticket are in Central Standard Time throughout the year, whether you travel in winter or in summer.
