İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) stands in Gaziemir, south of İzmir, and TAV Airports runs it. It has two terminals linked by a walkway: the International Terminal, for flights from abroad, and the Domestic Terminal, for flights from Istanbul, Ankara and other Turkish cities.
On an international flight you go through passport control, then baggage claim and customs before reaching the arrivals hall, where pre-booked drivers meet passengers at the exit. Domestic arrivals skip passport control. ATMs, a bank and a currency exchange are on the international arrivals level.
Turkey is on Turkey Time (UTC+3) all year, with no daylight saving time, and uses the Turkish lira.
Requisitos de entrada y notas locales
Visa or e-Visa. US, UK and Canadian ordinary passport holders can visit Turkey visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Other nationalities may need an e-Visa from the official evisa.gov.tr site, so check the rules for your passport before you fly.
Passport validity. Your passport generally needs to be valid for at least 60 days beyond the end of your permitted stay.
Two terminals. The International and Domestic Terminals are separate, so give your airline and arrival terminal when you book; your driver waits at that terminal's arrivals exit.
Bodrum is a different airport. For Bodrum and its peninsula, flights land at Milas–Bodrum Airport (BJV), so check the code on your ticket and see our Bodrum airport transportation page.
