Terminal
One terminal for all domestic and international flights.
Also known as: Eivissa Airport, Ibiza International Airport.
IBZ · LEIB · Ibiza

Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is the airport for the island of Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands, Spain. It sits on the south of the island, about 7 km (4 miles) southwest of Ibiza Town, close to the beaches of Platja d'en Bossa and Ses Salines. In 2024 it handled about 9.1 million passengers, most of them between May and October.
Vueling has a focus city here and, with Iberia and Air Europa, flies year-round to Barcelona, Madrid and Palma. In summer, Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2 and TUI add several dozen seasonal routes across Europe, with Amsterdam, Manchester and London Gatwick among the busiest international routes.
All flights use a single terminal, with one runway alongside it.
From the airport, most visitors head into Ibiza Town and Platja d'en Bossa, west to Sant Antoni, north to Santa Eulària and the quieter north of the island, or to the port for ferries to Formentera.

All flights arrive at the single terminal. Flights from Spain and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. If you come from outside the Schengen area, as many summer passengers do from the UK, you queue at passport control, where non-EU visitors are registered in the EU's Entry/Exit System. On peak summer weekends, when many flights land together, queues and baggage claim can be slow.
Once you have your bags, follow the signs out of the arrivals hall to the taxi rank, the bus stops and the car rental desks. Public buses run from the airport to Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni and other parts of the island, with more frequent services in summer. Pre-booked drivers usually meet you in the arrivals hall.
Taxi queues can be very long on busy summer evenings, so if you are arriving in July or August, book your ride ahead.
Spain is on Central European Time (CET) and uses the euro.
Ibiza is small, but taxi queues are long in summer; a pre-booked car is the surest option, and buses are the cheapest.
A pre-booked car meets you in the arrivals hall, the easiest option for villas, Sant Antoni and the north of the island, and on busy summer nights.
Official taxis wait at the rank outside arrivals. Ibiza Town is a short ride, but summer queues can be very long.
Public buses run to Ibiza Town, Sant Antoni and other parts of the island. The cheapest option, with more services in summer.
Rental desks at the airport, useful for exploring beaches around the island.

Sant Antoni (San Antonio) is on the west coast of Ibiza, across the island from the airport. Public buses run there from the airport, and a taxi or pre-booked transfer goes direct, which is quicker with luggage and on busy summer nights.
Vueling, Iberia and Air Europa fly year-round from Ibiza to Barcelona, Madrid and Palma. In summer, Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2 and TUI add many seasonal routes to the UK, Ireland and the rest of Europe.
Yes. Ibiza Airport has year-round flights to Spanish cities such as Barcelona, Madrid and Palma. Most international routes are seasonal, running roughly from spring to autumn, so the airport is much busier in summer than in winter.
In summer they can be. On busy evenings in July and August, when many flights land together, the taxi rank can have long queues. Booking a transfer ahead, or taking the bus to Ibiza Town or Sant Antoni, avoids the wait.
Formentera has no airport, so visitors fly into Ibiza and take a ferry from the port in Ibiza Town. Take a taxi, bus or pre-booked transfer from the airport to the port, a short drive away.
