Jet2 (Jet2.com) is a British leisure airline owned by Jet2 plc, which also runs the package-holiday company Jet2holidays and the city-break brand Jet2CityBreaks. The business began in 1983 as the cargo airline Channel Express, and Jet2.com passenger flights started from Leeds Bradford in 2003. Its head office is in Leeds, England. Jet2 is not part of a global airline alliance.

Jet2 flies point to point from 14 UK airport bases, including Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Newcastle and, since March 2026, London Gatwick. Its network covers about 80 destinations: beach resorts in Spain, the Canary Islands, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Malta and Morocco in summer and winter sun, plus city breaks, Christmas markets, ski airports in the Alps and seasonal flights to Iceland and Norway.

The fleet of about 140 aircraft combines Boeing 737-800 jets with a growing number of Airbus A321neo aircraft.

On board

Jet2 cabin classes

Jet2 flies a single economy cabin on every aircraft. Seat options depend on the booking and the flight.

Economy

The standard cabin, with a 10 kg hand luggage bag included in the fare. Hold bags, reserved seats and pre-ordered meals can be added.

Extra-legroom seats

Seats with more legroom, mostly at emergency exits toward the front and middle of the aircraft. They can be booked as an extra, and safety rules limit who can sit in exit rows.

Reserved seats

Travelers can choose a seat, such as window, aisle, front or back of the aircraft, when booking or later in Manage My Booking.
