Viva Aerobus flies to Chicago, Monterrey and Tijuana, Aeroméxico to Mexico City, American Airlines to Dallas/Fort Worth and United Airlines to Houston. With so many US routes, Morelia ranks among Mexico's ten busiest airports for international passengers.

Morelia has one single-story terminal, and the gates have no jet bridges, so you leave the aircraft by stairs.
If you arrive on an international flight, you clear immigration first. Have your passport and your flight details ready; visitors from many countries do not need a visa, but check the rules for your passport before you travel. After immigration, collect your bags at baggage claim and pass through customs.
Domestic passengers go straight to baggage claim and then into the arrivals hall.
The car rental counters and the taxi stands are at the terminal on the arrivals side. If you booked a transfer, your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall or just outside the terminal doors. The hotel next to the terminal is a short walk away if you are staying overnight before an early flight.
A pre-booked driver meets you at arrivals and takes you to Morelia's historic center or on to Pátzcuaro. It suits families and anyone with a lot of luggage.
Taxis wait at the stands at the terminal. Confirm the destination before you set off.
Rental counters are at the terminal. A car is useful for Pátzcuaro, the lake towns and the butterfly sanctuaries.
