Passenger Terminal
The single terminal handles every scheduled and charter flight, with 28 check-in desks and seven gates. Arrivals and departures are on separate levels of the same building.
Also known as: Paphos Airport, Pafos Airport, PFO Airport, Pafos International Airport.
PFO · LCPH · Paphos
Paphos International Airport (PFO) is the airport for Paphos and the west of Cyprus, the island's second-busiest airport after Larnaca. Hermes Airports runs it, and it handled about 3.8 million passengers in 2025.
Most flights come from the UK and the rest of Europe. Jet2.com, easyJet, TUI Airways and British Airways link Paphos with London and many UK regional airports, and Ryanair, which bases aircraft here, flies to cities across Europe, from Dublin and Berlin to Warsaw, Vienna and Athens. Israeli airlines add flights to Tel Aviv and Haifa, and Lufthansa, Transavia and TUI fly seasonal routes to Munich, Amsterdam, Paris and Brussels.
All flights use a single passenger terminal, opened in 2008, with seven gates. The airport stands near the villages of Timi and Acheleia on the coast, about 15 km (9 miles) southeast of central Paphos, a drive of around 20 to 25 minutes. From here most travelers head to Kato Paphos and the harbor, the town center, Coral Bay and Peyia, the Aphrodite Hills resort, or north to Polis and Latchi on the Akamas peninsula. Limassol is about 60 km (37 miles) to the east.

Cyprus is in the European Union but not in the Schengen area, so every arriving passenger goes through passport control, including those flying in from Schengen countries. EU citizens can use a national ID card; other travelers show a passport, which is still stamped, because the EU Entry/Exit System does not operate in Cyprus. Check the visa rules for your nationality before you fly.
Paphos has one terminal, so there is no terminal to choose. After passport control you collect your bags in baggage claim and walk through customs into the arrivals hall, where car rental desks, ATMs and currency exchange are close by. Passport control and baggage claim can take a while when several UK flights land together in summer.
Outside the terminal, official taxis wait at the taxi stand, and buses 612 and 613 to Paphos leave from the stop opposite the building. Pre-booked drivers usually meet passengers in the arrivals hall.
Cyprus is on Eastern European Time, uses the euro and drives on the left.
Buses are the cheapest way into Paphos; a taxi or pre-booked car is easier with luggage or for villas and resorts away from the bus routes.
Local buses leave from the stop opposite the terminal: route 612 runs to Kato Paphos and the harbor area, and route 613 to Karavella station in the town center, taking around 30 minutes. Services are less frequent in winter and in the late evening, and connections for Coral Bay or Polis mean changing buses in town.
A scheduled coach links the airport with Limassol in about 45 to 75 minutes. Its main Limassol stop is at Agios Georgios Havouzas, outside the historic center, so most travelers still need a taxi to their hotel.
Kapnos runs scheduled shuttles from Paphos to Nicosia and Larnaca. They are a budget option for the long trip across the island, but run only at set times and end at Kapnos stations, not at your door.
Official taxis wait at the taxi stand outside arrivals and go door to door to Paphos, Coral Bay and beyond. It is the simplest option with luggage when you have not booked ahead.
Desks for international and local companies are in and around the arrivals hall. Some operate on site, while others take customers to an off-site depot, which can mean a wait late at night. Cyprus drives on the left.
A pre-booked car meets you in the arrivals hall, useful for families, groups, villas in the hills and longer trips to Polis, Latchi or Limassol.

Yes. Pafos is the spelling Hermes Airports and Cypriot authorities use, while Paphos is the traditional English spelling. Both names, and the code PFO, refer to the same airport, the only commercial airport in western Cyprus. Larnaca (LCA), in the southeast, is the island's other international airport.
Paphos has one passenger terminal, opened in November 2008, with 28 check-in desks and seven gates. Every scheduled and charter flight uses it, so there is no terminal to choose and no transfer between buildings. Arriving passengers all exit into the same arrivals hall after passport control, baggage claim and customs.
Yes. Local buses leave from the stop opposite the terminal: route 612 runs to Kato Paphos and the harbor area, and route 613 to Karavella station in the town center, in about 30 minutes. Services are reduced in winter and late in the evening, and Coral Bay and Polis need a change of bus in town.
The Limassol Airport Express coach runs scheduled services between the airport and Limassol, taking about 45 to 75 minutes. Its main Limassol stop is at Agios Georgios Havouzas, outside the historic center. A taxi or pre-booked car takes you straight to your hotel, about 60 km (37 miles) to the east.
Yes. Kapnos Airport Shuttle runs scheduled services from Paphos airport to Nicosia and Larnaca, though some trips involve a connection and they run only at set times. The Nicosia shuttle ends at the Kapnos station on Kyrenias Avenue rather than the city center, so plan onward travel from there.
Official taxis wait at the taxi stand directly outside the arrivals hall. They go door to door to Kato Paphos, the town center, Coral Bay, Peyia and farther afield, and are the simplest option with luggage if you have not booked ahead. Ask the driver to confirm the fare before you set off.
Jet2.com, easyJet, TUI Airways and British Airways carry most UK passengers, from London and many regional airports. Ryanair flies to dozens of European cities, Wizz Air to Warsaw, and Aegean Airlines to Athens. Israeli airlines serve Tel Aviv and Haifa, and Lufthansa, Transavia and TUI fly seasonal routes to Munich, Amsterdam, Paris and Brussels.
Yes, you go through passport control. Cyprus is in the European Union but not in the Schengen area, so every arriving passenger is checked at the border. EU citizens can use a valid national ID card, while others need a passport. The EU Entry/Exit System does not operate in Cyprus, and non-EU passports are still stamped.
Yes. The Premium Lounge is in the departures area opposite Gate 7, after security. It opens two hours before scheduled flights and welcomes passengers of any class of travel, either through an eligible ticket or membership or by paying at the door when there is space.
Yes. International and local car rental companies have desks in and around the arrivals hall. Some hand over cars on site, while others take you to a depot nearby, which can add waiting time late at night. Remember that Cyprus drives on the left, and check the fee if you plan to return the car at Larnaca.
Hermes Airports runs the official parking lots: P1 for short stays and for meeting arriving passengers, the covered P2 for long stays, and the uncovered long-stay lots P3, P5, P6 and P7. All are self-park, and you can book a space ahead online through the Hermes Airports website.
Paphos, like the rest of Cyprus, is on Eastern European Time, UTC+2, and moves to UTC+3 for daylight saving time from the last Sunday of March to the last Sunday of October. That is two hours ahead of the UK and one hour ahead of most of continental Europe all year.
