Main Terminal
The single terminal handles all domestic and international flights, Schengen and non-Schengen. There are no jet bridges, so passengers walk or are bused to the aircraft.
Also known as: PUY Airport, Pula Croatia Airport, Istria Airport.

Pula Airport (PUY) is the airport for Pula and the Istria peninsula in northwestern Croatia. It stands at Valtursko polje in the municipality of Ližnjan, about 6 km (4 miles) northeast of Pula city center.
Most flights are seasonal and bring summer visitors from the UK, Germany, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and other European countries. easyJet, Jet2.com, Ryanair, TUI, Eurowings, Lufthansa, Norwegian and SAS fly the most routes in summer, while Croatia Airlines and Trade Air link Pula with Zagreb, Zadar, Split and Osijek. The airport handled about 542,000 passengers in 2025.
All flights use a single terminal with no jet bridges, so you walk or take a bus between the aircraft and the building.
From the airport, most travelers head into Pula, to its Roman arena and old town, or to the Verudela peninsula and the resorts of Medulin and Premantura on the southern tip. Others continue up the west coast to Fažana, Rovinj, Vrsar and Poreč, or east to Rabac and Labin. Fažana is also where boats leave for Brijuni National Park.

Flights from Germany, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. If you fly in from outside the Schengen area, such as the UK or Serbia, you line up at passport control, where non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System.
Pula has one small terminal, so there is no terminal to choose. Aircraft park on the apron without jet bridges, so you walk or ride a bus to the building. After baggage claim you go through customs into the arrivals hall, where the information desk, ATMs and car rental desks are.
Outside the terminal, taxis wait at the stand by the bus stop, and the airport shuttle bus runs to Pula's main bus station. Brioni shuttles serve resort towns such as Medulin, Fažana and Rovinj. Pre-booked drivers usually meet you in the arrivals hall.
Croatia is on Central European Time and uses the euro.
A taxi or pre-booked car is the simplest way to the resorts; the shuttle bus suits travelers going into central Pula.
A shuttle bus links the airport with Pula's main bus station in about 20 to 30 minutes. Check the timetable before you fly, as departures are tied to the flight schedule and buses can fill up with luggage in summer.
Brioni runs shuttles from the airport to Verudela, Medulin, Fažana, Rovinj, Poreč, Novigrad, Umag and Rabac. They make several stops and run less often outside the summer season.
Taxis wait at the stand outside the terminal and go door to door to Pula in about 15 to 20 minutes. Agree the fare or check the meter before you set off, especially for longer trips up the coast.
Car rental desks are in the arrivals area and the terminal's main hall. A car is useful for touring Istria, though parking in the old towns of Pula, Rovinj and Poreč is limited in summer.
A pre-booked car meets you in the arrivals hall, useful for families, groups, late arrivals and trips to Rovinj, Poreč or Rabac.

Yes. An airport shuttle bus links the terminal with Pula's main bus station in the city center, a ride of about 20 to 30 minutes. Departures are tied to the flight schedule, so check the timetable on the airport's website before you fly. In summer the bus can be busy with luggage.
Rovinj is on Istria's west coast, north of Pula, and the drive from the airport takes about 45 minutes. Brioni runs shuttles from the airport to Rovinj with stops along the way, and taxis and pre-booked cars go door to door. Rovinj's old town is car-free, so vehicles stop at its edge.
Poreč is further up Istria's west coast, and the drive from the airport takes about an hour. Brioni shuttles serve Poreč, Novigrad and Umag, though they make several stops. A taxi or pre-booked car is the direct option, especially with luggage or a family.
Medulin is on the southern tip of Istria, about 15 minutes by car from Pula Airport. Brioni shuttles run from the airport to Medulin and the Verudela peninsula in summer, and taxis and pre-booked cars wait outside the terminal.
