Main terminal
The only passenger terminal, a two-story building used by every airline. Arrivals, check-in and baggage claim are on the lower level; departures and the four gates are on the upper level.
Also known as: Reynosa Airport, Reynosa International Airport, REX Airport.
REX · MMRX · Reynosa

General Lucio Blanco International Airport, known as Reynosa International Airport (REX), serves Reynosa, Tamaulipas, and the Reynosa–McAllen border area in northeastern Mexico. It sits about 10 km southeast of Reynosa's city center, close to the border with Texas.
All scheduled flights are domestic. Viva Aerobus flies to Mexico City, Mexico City's Felipe Ángeles airport, Guadalajara, Cancún and Veracruz; Aeroméxico flies to Mexico City; and Volaris flies to Guadalajara. Mexico City is by far the busiest route. Travelers heading to the United States usually cross the border and fly from McAllen Miller International Airport instead.
The airport has one two-story terminal, renovated and expanded in 2021. Check-in, the arrivals hall, baggage claim, car rental and taxi stands are on the lower level; security, the departures concourse, shops, a VIP lounge and four gates are on the upper level.
The airport mainly serves business travelers and visitors to the border city, who head on to Reynosa's center and hotels or across the region.

Reynosa has one terminal, and every arriving flight uses the lower level.
All scheduled flights here are domestic, so most passengers go straight to baggage claim in the arrivals hall without passing immigration. If you arrive on a private or charter flight from abroad, immigration and customs are also on the lower level.
After collecting your bags, walk into the arrivals hall, where you will find the car rental counters, the taxi stands and snack bars. If you booked a transfer, your driver waits for you in the arrivals hall or just outside the terminal doors.
If you are continuing across the border to McAllen or elsewhere in Texas, bring your passport and any US entry documents you need, since the land crossing is separate from the airport and you go through US border inspection there.
A pre-booked driver meets you in the arrivals hall and takes you to your hotel or office in Reynosa. It suits business travelers on a schedule and anyone with luggage.
Taxis wait at the stands by the arrivals hall. Confirm the destination before you set off.
Rental counters are in the arrivals hall. Check your rental agreement before driving across the border into the United States.

Reynosa International Airport is about 10 km southeast of Reynosa's city center, close to the border with Texas. Most travelers reach the city and its hotels by pre-booked transfer, taxi from the stands at the arrivals hall or rental car, all found on the terminal's lower level.
Three airlines serve Reynosa. Viva Aerobus flies to Mexico City, Mexico City's Felipe Ángeles airport, Guadalajara, Cancún and Veracruz; Aeroméxico flies to Mexico City; and Volaris flies to Guadalajara. Mexico City is the busiest route, with about 103,000 passengers in 2025.
No. Reynosa currently has only domestic scheduled flights. Because the airport is so close to McAllen, travelers flying to the United States usually cross the border and fly from McAllen Miller International Airport. Reynosa still has immigration and customs facilities on the lower level for international private and charter flights.

Reynosa uses Central Time. Unlike most of Mexico, the border area around Reynosa still changes its clocks for daylight saving time on the same dates as the United States, so it keeps the same time as McAllen all year, which can differ from Mexico City in summer.
