Also known as: ADL Airport, Adelaide International Airport.

Adelaide Airport (ADL) is the main airport for Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. It stands in the suburb of Adelaide Airport, between the city and the coast, about 6 km (4 miles) west of the Adelaide city center and a short drive from Glenelg and the western beaches.
Qantas, Virgin Australia and Jetstar link Adelaide with Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and other Australian cities, while QantasLink and Rex fly to regional South Australia, including Kangaroo Island and Port Lincoln. International airlines such as Singapore Airlines, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Air New Zealand and China Southern Airlines connect Adelaide with Asia, the Middle East and New Zealand. The airport handled about 9 million passengers in calendar year 2025.
Domestic, regional and international flights all use one combined terminal, with baggage claim on the ground floor and a multi-level parking garage across the plaza. A terminal expansion, Project Flight, is underway and due for completion in 2028.
From the airport, most travelers head to hotels in the Adelaide CBD and North Adelaide, to Glenelg and Henley Beach on the coast, or on to the wine regions of the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills.

International passengers enter the terminal on Level 1, pass through immigration, and collect their bags on the ground floor before clearing customs and biosecurity. Every visitor except New Zealand citizens needs a visa, ETA or eVisitor before flying, and you must declare all food, plant and animal items on your passenger card.
Domestic passengers come off the aircraft on Level 2 and take the escalators or elevators down to baggage claim on the ground floor. Regional flights arrive on the ground floor. Car rental desks are next to baggage claim, and the Welcome Desk, where you can also collect a Sunflower lanyard, is nearby.
To leave, walk out into the plaza in front of the terminal. The taxi stand is on the western side of the plaza, rideshare pickups are next to the P1 parking garage across the pedestrian crossing, and Adelaide Metro buses leave from Stop 10 on Sir Richard Williams Avenue. Pre-booked drivers usually meet you at the foot of the main escalators in the baggage claim area.
South Australia uses Australian Central Time, UTC+9:30, and UTC+10:30 during daylight saving time.
The bus is the cheapest way into the city; a taxi or pre-booked car is easier with luggage, at night or for the beaches and wine regions.
Adelaide Metro routes J1 and J2 run to the city center from Stop 10 on Sir Richard Williams Avenue, a few minutes' walk from the terminal. They are the lowest-cost option but make stops along the way.
Routes J7 and J8 leave from the same stop and serve suburbs to the north-west and south-west of the airport, useful if you are staying outside the center.
Taxis wait at the taxi stand on the western side of the plaza outside the terminal and go door to door to the city, Glenelg and the suburbs. Wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through the taxi stand team.
Uber, Ola and DiDi pick up from the rideshare zone beside the P1 parking garage, across the pedestrian lights from the plaza.
Avis, Budget, Dollar, Europcar, Hertz, Redspot, Sixt and Thrifty have desks on the ground floor beside baggage claim, with cars collected in the P1 parking garage.
A pre-booked driver meets you in the baggage claim area, useful for families, groups, late arrivals and trips to the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale or the Adelaide Hills.

Yes. Adelaide Airport has a curfew from 11 pm to 6 am under the Adelaide Airport Curfew Act 2000, which restricts most jet aircraft movements in those hours.
