Terminal 1
The main terminal, used by all scheduled flights for check-in, boarding and arrivals, with 16 gates and five jet bridges.
Also known as: Olbia Airport, OLB Airport, Costa Smeralda Airport, Olbia Costa Smeralda Prince Karim Aga Khan IV Airport.
OLB · LIEO · Olbia
Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB) is the airport for Olbia and the Gallura region of northeast Sardinia, Italy, and the gateway to the Costa Smeralda.
Most flights are seasonal and peak from late spring to early fall. Volotea, easyJet, Ryanair, Aeroitalia, ITA Airways, Neos and Wizz Air link Olbia with cities across Italy, and in summer easyJet, British Airways, Jet2.com, Lufthansa, Eurowings, Condor, Transavia, Norwegian and many others add routes from the UK, Germany, France, Scandinavia and beyond, with Delta flying seasonally from New York JFK and flydubai from Dubai.
Flights use one main terminal, with five jet bridges and 16 gates; a second building, Terminal 2, opens in summer only for charter check-in.
The airport stands about 4 km from the center of Olbia, close to the city's Isola Bianca ferry port. Porto Cervo and the Costa Smeralda are about 30 km to the north, past Porto Rotondo and Arzachena, with Palau and its ferries to La Maddalena farther along the coast, while San Teodoro and its beaches lie to the south.

Flights from Italy and other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks. If you fly in from outside the Schengen area, such as the UK, the US or Dubai, you line up at passport control, where non-EU travelers are registered in the EU Entry/Exit System. On busy summer days, when several flights land together, expect lines at passport control and baggage claim.
All scheduled flights arrive at the main terminal. After baggage claim and customs you come out into the arrivals area, where you find the information desk, left luggage, lost and found, ATMs and a currency exchange.
Outside, the taxi stand is in front of arrivals, and the stop for city buses 2 and 10 to Olbia is about 50 meters away; buy tickets from the machine in the arrivals area. The car rental building is about 50 meters from the terminal, a short walk. Pre-booked drivers meet passengers in the arrivals area.
Italy is on Central European Time and uses the euro.
City buses are the cheapest way into Olbia; a taxi or pre-booked car is easier with luggage and for the Costa Smeralda, villas and the ferry ports.
Run by ASPO about every 20 minutes from a stop about 50 meters from arrivals to Olbia's center. Buy tickets from the machine in arrivals or in the MooneyGo app; the buses make several stops and have limited luggage space.
Regional and private coach lines, including ARST, Deplano, Sunlines and Turmo Travel, link the airport with towns such as Porto Cervo, Palau, San Teodoro and Nuoro. Most run on fixed timetables, with more departures in summer.
Licensed taxis wait at the taxi stand in front of arrivals and charge metered fares set by the city of Olbia. Lines can form when several flights land at once in summer.
Most car rental companies are in a separate rental building about 50 meters from the terminal; a few are in the P1 and long-stay parking lots.
A pre-booked car meets you in the arrivals area and goes door to door, useful for families, groups, villas on the Costa Smeralda and connections to the Palau or Olbia ferries.

Yes. Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport, Olbia Airport and Costa Smeralda Airport are all names for the same airport, code OLB. It is also dedicated to Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, founder of the Costa Smeralda resort area, so you may see his name on signs or tickets too. It is the main airport for northeast Sardinia.
Olbia has one main terminal, Terminal 1, which handles check-in, boarding and arrivals for all scheduled flights, with 16 gates and five jet bridges. A second building, Terminal 2, opens only in the summer season for charter check-in. All arriving passengers exit through the main terminal's arrivals area, so there is only one exit to look for.

In summer, British Airways, Jet2.com, Lufthansa, Eurowings, Condor, Transavia, Norwegian, Swiss, Air France and others add routes from the UK and Europe, Delta flies seasonally from New York JFK, and flydubai flies from Dubai.
Yes. ASPO city buses 2 and 10 run between the airport and Olbia's center about every 20 minutes, from a stop about 50 meters from arrivals. Buy your ticket from the machine in the arrivals area or in the MooneyGo app. Regional coaches from operators such as ARST, Deplano, Sunlines and Turmo Travel serve other towns in Gallura and beyond.
Licensed taxis wait at the taxi stand in front of the arrivals area. Fares are metered at rates set by the city of Olbia, with surcharges at night, on public holidays and for larger groups. In July and August lines can form at the taxi stand when several flights land together, so allow extra time.
Olbia's Isola Bianca ferry port, with sailings to mainland Italy, is a short drive from the airport across the city, and taxis and pre-booked cars go straight to the terminal. Ferries to La Maddalena leave from Palau, farther north along the coast, and Golfo Aranci, northeast of Olbia, has its own ferry port. Allow extra time in summer traffic.
Most car rental companies, including Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Maggiore and Sicily by Car, are in a separate rental building about 50 meters from the terminal, an easy walk from arrivals. Some companies are in the P1 parking lot or the long-stay parking lot, and a few run a shuttle from there, so check your voucher for the exact location.
Yes. The Club Lounge is on the departures pier, renovated in 2024, with a relaxation area, food and drinks. Italy is in the Schengen area, so flights from other Schengen countries arrive without passport checks, while arrivals from outside it, such as the UK or the US, go through passport control.
