KM Malta Airlines is the national airline of the Maltese Islands. The company was founded in 2023 and operated its first flight on 31 March 2024. It is based at Luqa, next to Malta International Airport, and is not a member of an airline alliance, although it has codeshare and interline agreements with other European airlines, including KLM.
Its only hub is Malta International Airport (MLA). From there it flies about 20 direct routes to cities in Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Turkey. Some routes, such as Catania, operate in the summer season only.
The fleet is made up of eight Airbus A320neo aircraft in a two-class layout with Business Class and Economy Class.
