Allegiant is a US low-cost airline that flies leisure travelers between small and mid-size cities and vacation destinations, mostly on nonstop routes. Allegiant Air was founded in 1997 and is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is owned by Allegiant Travel Company, which has also owned Sun Country Airlines since May 2026; the two airlines keep separate brands for now. Allegiant is not a member of an airline alliance.
Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport is its main base, alongside major bases in Orlando Sanford, St. Pete–Clearwater and Phoenix–Mesa Gateway. Aircraft are also based at airports such as Cincinnati, Fort Lauderdale, Indianapolis, Nashville, Pittsburgh and Punta Gorda. The network covers about 124 cities across the United States, with many routes to Florida, Las Vegas, Arizona and other leisure spots.
The fleet of about 124 aircraft is made up of Airbus A319 and A320 jets and Boeing 737 MAX 8-200s.
