Luxair is the flag carrier of Luxembourg. Its full name is Luxair, Société Luxembourgeoise de Navigation Aérienne S.A. The company was set up in 1961, grew out of Luxembourg Airlines (founded in 1948) and started flying in 1962. The airline is part of LuxairGroup and is registered at Luxembourg Airport. Luxair is not a member of an airline alliance; its frequent-flyer program is Miles & More.
All Luxair flights start or end at Luxembourg Airport (LUX). The network covers about 100 destinations over the 2026 calendar year, mainly in Europe, with city routes such as London City, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Milan and Vienna, and leisure routes to the Canary Islands, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and North Africa. Many leisure flights are sold with package holidays from LuxairTours, the group's tour-operator brand.
The fleet of about 24 aircraft is made up of Boeing 737-700, 737-800 and 737 MAX 8 jets, Embraer E195-E2 jets and De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprops.
