Practical information

Baggage Cabin bags, checked bags, missing luggage

Qatar Airways baggage allowances depend on the cabin, the fare type, the route and Privilege Club or oneworld status. Your exact allowance is shown in Manage booking.

Carry-on

Economy passengers can bring one piece up to 7 kg (15 lb), or 10 kg (22 lb) on flights to and from Brazil. Business and First passengers can bring two pieces up to 15 kg (33 lb) in total. Each piece can measure up to 50 x 37 x 25 cm (20 x 15 x 10 in).

Checked baggage

Flights to and from the Americas and Africa use a piece allowance: in Economy, one or two bags up to 23 kg depending on fare; in Business and First, two bags up to 32 kg each. Other routes use a total weight allowance that depends on cabin and fare. No single bag can exceed 32 kg.

Special items

Sports equipment, pets, oversized items and medical equipment follow separate rules. Check the official Qatar Airways baggage page before you fly.

Online check-in on qatarairways.com or the Qatar Airways app normally opens 48 hours before departure and closes 90 minutes before. For flights from the United States, and for flights from Doha to the United States, it opens 24 hours before departure.
