Royal Air Maroc is the flag carrier of Morocco. Its predecessor was formed in 1953 by the merger of Air Atlas and Air Maroc, and the airline took the name Royal Air Maroc on June 28, 1957. It is owned by the Moroccan state and headquartered at Casablanca-Anfa Airport in Casablanca. Royal Air Maroc joined oneworld on April 1, 2020, and its regional subsidiary Royal Air Maroc Express flies domestic and short regional routes.
Its hub is Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, where flights are timed to connect Europe, Africa and the Americas. The airline also runs point-to-point flights from Marrakech, Tangier and Tétouan. Its network covers about 100 destinations: cities across Morocco, Europe, West and Central Africa, the Middle East, Beijing, and North and South America, including New York JFK, Washington Dulles, Miami, Los Angeles, Montreal, Toronto and São Paulo.
The fleet of about 67 aircraft combines Boeing 787 Dreamliners for long-haul routes with Boeing 737-800, 737 MAX 8 and Embraer E190 jets, and ATR 72-600 turboprops at Royal Air Maroc Express.
