Aer Lingus is the flag carrier of Ireland, founded in April 1936 and headquartered on the grounds of Dublin Airport in County Dublin. It has been part of International Airlines Group (IAG), alongside British Airways, Iberia and Vueling, since 2015. Aer Lingus is not a member of an airline alliance; it left oneworld in 2007 and works with partners through codeshare and interline agreements.

Its hub is Dublin Airport (DUB), where Aer Lingus operates from Terminal 2 and passengers flying to the United States clear US immigration and customs before departure. It also flies from Cork, Shannon and Knock, with more than 100 routes to the UK, continental Europe and North America, including 24 routes from Ireland to North America in 2026. Regional flights under the Aer Lingus Regional brand are operated by Emerald Airlines.

The fleet of about 62 aircraft is all Airbus: A320-family jets for Europe, and A330s, A321LRs and A321XLRs for transatlantic flights.
